Detections of Safety Risks, Proactive Alerts and Other Safety Measures are Core to Innovative New Solution Designed to Improve Human-Machine Collaboration

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, February 22, 2023

Ridecell, the leading platform powering digital transformations for fleet-driven businesses, today announced that Kanglim Co, Ltd, the 40 year-old global leader in specialty industrial vehicles, has chosen the Ridecell advanced data platform to power the company’s factory safety system to ensure the highest standards of safety and preventative measures for their specialty industrial vehicle factories. The new platform will automate safety protocols and preventative measures to ensure safe environments for human-machine collaboration.

“Kanglim has been the leader in quality and performance of specialty industrial vehicles, and we adhere to the same highest standards for our factories,” said Dr. Seuk-Kyung Sung, Vice Chairman and CEO, Kanglim Co, Inc. “With the growing demand for the capabilities that our vehicle portfolio provides, production will continue to increase and we must ensure that our factories maintain optimum efficiency, scalability and safety. The Ridecell platform has been critical to helping us achieve even greater levels of factory floor safety.”

Through extensive testing in the Kanglim factories, the safety automation functionality was validated, and demonstrated detection of unsafe human-machine interaction. Further testing will be done on real-time warning alerts for factory workers when they enter into a potentially unsafe situation. Ridecell is contributing machine learning and computer vision expertise, data processing capability and embedded system know-how. At the end of the next development phase, the Kanglim factory safety automation platform will be ready to be deployed not only in Kanglim factories but other manufacturing and industrial locations where humans and machines work in close proximity.

“Our collaboration with Kanglim is one more proof point of the benefits of digital transformation, even with environments as complex and potentially dangerous as industrial vehicle factories,” said Aarjav Trivedi, founder, and CEO of Ridecell. “We at Ridecell are committed to working with our partners and customers to ensure our fleets and infrastructure are safe, efficient and connected.”

In the future, the two companies will continue cooperation to develop a vehicle platform for safe driving that will be applied to IOT-based eco-friendly special vehicles for markets in Korean, Eastern Europe and South-East Asia.
