<p><strong><em>Job Summary:</em></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Predicting the future position of pedestrians, cars and other road users is critical to decision making and path planning for our self driving car. As a prediction engineer at Ridecell, you will be solving this critical road actor prediction problem that is a hot research topic in the self driving car and artificial intelligence community.</span></p>

<p><strong><em>Responsibilities and Duties:</em></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Day to day responsibilities include :</span></p>
<ol>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Developing LSTM architectures for forecasting positions of road actors using perception layer’s time series data.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Modeling interactions between various road actors and ego vehicles, as well as leveraging HD maps to achieve greater realism in predictions.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Using probabilistic forecasting methods for prediction of road actor positions.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interacting with the perception team to define inputs to the prediction layer.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interacting with planning and learned driving teams to define the output of the prediction layer.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interacting with the data science team to gather data needed to model prediction models.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tracking KPIs for prediction layer and devising methods to improve existing prediction methods running on Ridecell’s self driving fleet. </span></li>

<p><strong><em>Qualifications and Skills:</em></strong></p>
<ol>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">MS/PhD degree in CS/EE/ECE or equivalent industry experience.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At least 2 years of experience in developing LSTM models, RNNs preferably from sensor based time series data.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with ML frameworks like Tensorflow, PyTorch.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong programming experience in C++ and Python.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At least 2 years of experience in Machine learning.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Keen interest in the research area of prediction for road actors.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience in tracking, sensor fusion and Kalman filters. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">1+ years experience in self driving car company preferred.</span></li>
