<p>We are looking for an expert Autonomous systems engineer who will own and lead the motion planning/controls stack and development of our autonomous vehicles.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Own and lead the motion planning/controls/navigation stack and development</li>
<li>Develop algorithms for motion planning, real-time trajectory optimization and navigation of autonomous vehicles through unstructured traffic conditions and for obstacle/collision avoidance</li>
<li>Design and develop motion planning and obstacle avoidance software components to accommodate different uncertainty conditions and stochastic elements coming from external/internal environment</li>
<li>Adopt real-time optimization/planning techniques in developing navigation software</li>
<li>Implement and test algorithms in simulation environment, followed by bench marking and validating the system with on-field, in-car testing</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>MS/PhD in CS / EE / Robotics / AE or equivalent</li>
<li>5-7 years of professional experience in Robotics or Autonomous Vehicle projects and 1-2 years of leadership experience</li>
<li>Strong foundations in engineering analysis, applied mathematics and applied linear algebra </li>
<li>Expertise in model based (constrained, linear/nonlinear) real-time optimization strategies with emphasis on (fast) real-time implementation</li>
<li>Experience/expertise in control theory (eg. model predictive control, robust/nonlinear/optimal/adaptive control) and, vehicle dynamics &amp; modelling</li>
<li>Experience with and exposure to search based motion planning algorithms such as A*, RRT, RRT*, probabilistic planners, lattice-based planners</li>
<li>Deep understanding and practical experience in full navigation stack from top level route planners to low level controllers</li>
<li>Exposure and familiarity with vehicle models, system identification and parameter identification</li>
<li>Extensive experience in C++ programming and algorithm design</li>
<li>Comfortable with ROS</li>
</ul>

<li>Skilled in linear/nonlinear control theory</li>
<li>Experience or know/how in adopting/developing real-time trajectory and motion planning systems for robot navigation</li>
